Marisa was born in Ohio, but considers Texas home. She earned a bachelor's degree in health from University of Texas at San Antonio. She worked in online marketing for over twenty years in Dallas, New York, and San Antonio.

She edits Tuttle Twins and Libertas content and contributes to the Tuttle Times. She currently lives in San Antonio with her husband and two children, whom she homeschools. She enjoys playing board games, scrapbooking, and reading.
