HB 377 (Local Government Curfew Amendments)

Libertas Institute supports this bill.

This bill prohibits local governments from enacting a daytime curfew for minors. Several cities in Utah have such ordinances, which would be invalidated by this state law.

Libertas supports this bill. Especially with COVID-19 creating dynamic education circumstances, and homeschooling participation doubling, children should not be punished for being out of their home during daytime hours.
