HB 27 (Clarifying Restrictions on Firearms)

This bill lowers the penalty for simultaneously possessing a weapon and marijuana. It also clarifies that a person must both knowingly and intentionally possess a weapon and drugs for there to be a crime.

Libertas supports this bill. Limited resources should be used to prevent harm to life and property, not having a joint and a gun at the same time. And all crimes should have a clear mens rea.
