Imposing and increasing a legal minimum wage hurts businesses that cannot afford to pay higher wages and hurts low-skilled workers just entering the market who are priced out of a job because companies choose to automate or consolidate jobs rather than offer economic opportunities to entrants who can increase their skill and value and work their way up the economic ladder. |
