This bill clarifies what Miranda warnings officers must give to minors. It also allows officers to continue detaining and questioning a minor beyond the two-hour limit if they have already begun questioning.

Libertas supports this bill. Minors should be fully informed of their rights to counsel and to remain silent before speaking to police.
