National Literary Award Given to New Tuttle Twins Book

Each year, the Montaigne Medal is awarded to the most thought-provoking book that year. According to its creators, the books selected for this award “either illuminate, progress, or redirect thought. The Montaigne Medal is given in honor of the great French philosopher Michel de Montaigne, who influenced people such as William Shakespeare, René Descartes, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Friedrich Nietzsche, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, and Eric Hoffer.”

The 2024 award was given to The Tuttle Twins Guide to True Conspiracies, our new book helping teenagers learn about twenty documented, true conspiracies from history. The book is a provocative and engaging read—and most of the conspiracies are ones few adults are familiar with.

The stories shared in this gripping book are more than just disturbing episodes of our history—they’re stark reminders of the ability of powerful people to shape world events and our own lives through deception and lawless corruption.

By illuminating these obscure corners of history, this book will challenge you to question, to seek the truth, and to be skeptical of those in power. We’re pleased to be honored with this award, which recognizes the importance of helping young readers develop critical thinking and learn truth in a world filled with deceptions.
