Director of Operations (New Project)

The Libertas Network is an award-winning association of family-facing initiatives that change hearts, minds, and laws to create a freer future. We’re known primarily for three major programs: our innovative policy reforms that have changed over 100 laws to increase freedom; our Tuttle Twins children’s books that have sold over six million copies and have been turned into a hit cartoon series; and our Children’s Entrepreneur Market project helping kids age 5-17 launch a (very!) small business, with 28,000 youth entrepreneurs served in 2024.

We are now launching a project to help young adults secure gainful employment and develop their own businesses—all without a college degree. This will be an entrepreneurial approach to higher education reform, giving participants direct entry into professional success without wasting time, money, and subjecting themselves to woke indoctrination.

We are now hiring a Director of Operations to oversee and execute this program. This position is full-time and remote.

You will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations with a small, energetic team—ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and efficient resource allocation.

  • Monitoring KPIs related to growth, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence, reporting regularly to executive leadership.
  • Supporting the leadership team in recruiting and onboarding new personnel to grow our operation.
  • Identifying and managing vendor and partner relationships, negotiating contracts and maintaining high-quality deliverables.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing internal data, gathering feedback, and implementing solutions that enhance student experience and team efficiency.
  • Managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls to maximize profitability and maintain fiscal discipline.
  • Collaborating with the leadership team to refine strategic plans and set measurable goals that support the long-term mission.

You will bring to the role your:

  • 5+ years experience in an operations role where you “owned a number” or were responsible for owning/managing company KPIs
  • 3+ years experience in a leadership, management, or executive-level capacity, including hiring, training, and managing a team
  • Experienced in process documentation, workflow automation, building process flow charts, and configuring integrations across different tech platforms
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills – including forecasting, building financial models, and advanced data analysis
  • Experience building and utilizing Hubspot and Salesforce reporting capabilities. Experience with Hubspot/Salesforce administration is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.
  • Strong data analysis skills to identify trends, measure performance, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and work collaboratively with executives and stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management and written skills
  • An entrepreneurial, collaborative mindset
  • Passionate revulsion for the status quo in higher education

You will enjoy:

  • You like to ask questions, and design experiments to answer them with data.
  • When it comes to launching new marketing experiments, you’d prefer to ask forgiveness than permission.
  • You’re reliable and take pride in your work.
  • You’re comfortable working remotely.
  • You understand systems, and appreciate the value of them but would prefer to solve a problem first before over-engineering a solution.
  • You’ve hired, managed, and trained a team.

  • You have mastered the language of marketing and selling our products and services, and could effectively sell our program to a stranger on the street
  • You have increased lead volume by 20%

6 months

  • You have created a streamlined feedback loop with the sales and admissions teams to refine messaging, improve lead quality, and optimize the enrollment process
